First see if there are leaks in your tank. The easiest way to do this is to put some dish soap around all of the valves and the cap, then fill and pressurize the tank. Look for little bubbles where you put the soap and that will let you know that there's a leak. Another way to test is to pressurize the tank and submerge it. You can do this in a tub, pool, or spa (with no bubbles of course!). Just pressurize the tank and put it under water. Rotate it slowly and look for any bubbles coming out.
If you see bubbles around the Schrader valve or the relief valve, go ahead and tighten it up by a half turn with a 9/16" socket and see if that fixes it. Give it one more half turn if not and let us know if it's still leaking after that.
If you have the pump cap and are getting a leak there, please check out our video on Pump Cap Maintenance. If any of the gaskets are damaged or missing, they can be bought on our website. Or let us know if you're still inside the 1-year warranty.
If you're still losing pressure too soon after these steps, please let us know by emailing us at support@klymit.com.
